I guess im now used to the fact that i had to change addresseses. I'm quickly "adopting" to life in the city..talk of things like the guts to stand a nasty traffic jam....heavy work schedules..expensive food...etc. Thats what i should have expected so im not being taken aback in any way. Added to all this is the bad news this morning that MUK lecturers are on a sit down strike. I hope the rest of us wont be affected. The last time such a thing happened, mayhem reigned. I'm praying history does not repeat itself(if it ever does , that is).
But it aint all gloomy here. Its a pretty interesting place i should say. Yestarday after the day's work, i decided to go to church and "catch up" with God in the mid week service here at St. Francis Chapel. Its just a few blocks away from where i work so i didnt have to walk alot. Its easy go all day without that badly needed fellowship with God in today's dynamic and demanding world of work.So this mid week service came in handy..just when i needed it. For sure i was beginning to feel like i was "goin' down the drain". Seated in there, memories of the days gone by began to flash through my mind. This is the very place i used to retreat to..the very place where many spiritual chapters were written in my life during my university days. After the sermon, Holy Communion and a really beautiful worship session, i strolled away feeling like it was simply the best part of the day i had had.
