Love (1Cor. 13)
1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Today i will talk about a few interesting things i have come across of late or just observed. Mean while i hope you are enjoyin August. I over heard some one today complaining that August and September are "unlucky months". Really???

Kampala is a really nice place to be in but it has its grotesque side in many ways but today i will only talk about power cuts in this regard. For the biggest part of last week, it was black out after black out whether at home or at my place of work. Now that wasn't fun. I call this dying twice!! And oh..my neighbors apartment caught fire in this prevailing power "fracas" to paint an even more gloomy picture of the whole scenario. It was by divine intervention otherwise my little apartment wd have burnt down as well.

Those of us who attended the 'Let it Roll' concert at KPC at the end of last month have alot to talk about.I4C in a collabo with Ha ha ha treated us to class acts of dance, music and rib cracking and head busting comedy. For good measure, I went home with a terrible headache that sunday evening!

Strolling along streets in the city is fun. You get to see lots of things. Recently my eyes came across a shelve of books on display and i was quick to point out one hilarious title- 'An Idiot's Guide to Microsoft 95'. I wonder if some one will ever order for it (for reasons best known to him or her, ofcourse)

Then there is this issue of weather down here that makes the already hard life even the more harder. Im talking about Kampala's unpredictable weather. The other day it was all sunny and bright in the morning and i told myself i needed to give my sweater and little umbrella a break. How deceitful! It wasnt long before the tables turned on me later on in the day. It rained cats and dogs (goats and sheep). Anyhow that was a lesson learned!

What about the brothers and sisters who have turned themselves into "fashion pace setters"?? Hello, im not talking about David Becks, Bradd Pitt, Angelina Jolie, or Kiara Knightley.....far from that! Im talking about our very own sons and daughters of the soil who have made phone earpieces (thanks to Nokia) the way to go of late. Scanning through a group of people on streets nowadays, you get the feeling these bu things (piece of wire actually) are as important as cloths themselves!!! From the look of things, seems like im being "left out". Do i hear you telling me to "style up" ?? Wait a minute!
